Then is said secretly the final Pater, unless another Hour immediately follow; in which case the Dual or Triple Prayer is now said, after which the Opening Versicles are said, as is prescribed in Common Forms, and listed below for the various phases of Paschal Time.  During the Easter Octave, however, the next Hour of the Divine Office is proper.

If, however, Compline is to follow immediately after Vespers, then the opening of Compline is said as prescribed in the Ordinary, that is, with neither the final Pater of Vespers nor any Dual Prayer before the beginning of Compline.
