Bookstore Open
December 11, 2006 (St. Damasus I, PC)
The Confraternity has opened an
online bookstore where members
and visitors may purchase various traditional Catholic liturgical books.
We've just opened our cyberdoors today, so please bear with us as we
gradually stock up with more items. Don't forget to drop by and
place an order for your 2007 Traditional Roman Catholic Liturgical
Wall Calendar. Filled with saints' days, fast days, and a wealth of
other information, our theme this year is the Mass and the Passion.
Beautiful color pictures with meditations enhance each of the 12 months,
and make it an invaluable teaching tool for your children (or maybe for
your non-Catholic or Novus Ordo friends?). Hurry and buy before the
end of the year--every Catholic home should have at least one Catholic
calendar on the wall! And don't forget, members who have contributed
their monthly subscription of $10 are entitled to a 10% discount on all
our items!
Results of General
Chapter
December 8, 2006 (Immaculate
Conception of BVM)
As a result of voting and suggestions from members, it has been
decided not to require dues from Confraternity members, nor to restrict
access to the website to paying members only. Instead, members are
hereby requested to donate on a monthly basis to the work of the
Confraternity, in order to help us better achieve our aims. A
guideline for donation is $10 (U.S. dollars) per month, or $100 per year,
but smaller or greater amounts may be donated according to your means.
It is stressed, however, that all members are asked to give something, so
that we can devote our time to this truly Catholic Apostolate of the
Sacred Liturgy.
An Update on Membership

The Secretary provided today's Chapter with an update on our
membership list. The Confraternity now has 367 members worldwide.
You can check out the breakdown by country, U.S. state, and membership
type on our Membership Page.
Membership Application
Form
December 8, 2006 (Immaculate
Conception of BVM)
We have noticed that our membership application page has not been
functioning properly. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing who
has been attempting to apply for membership. If you are reading
this, and have tried to submit the online
application form within the last month, please accept our apologies,
and re-send your application.
Translation of the
Psalter Complete
December 4, 2006 (St. Peter Chrysologus, BCD)
The new translation of the Psalter has been completed. This
translation follows more closely the Latin Vulgate, and is partly taken
from our previous English version, partly from the Douai Rheims Bible, and
partly from other sources. We hope that our members will find it
easier to follow, as the verse numbers now correspond to the Latin.
Although we have completed the translation process, we
still need to do the switching over to the new version. This is only
partially done so far—we have completed the weekly Psalter, and will next
adapt the Common of Saints, the Proper of Saints, and Proper of the
Season.
Thank you for your generosity in praying for a successful result to this project.
Please e-mail us with suggestions and criticisms, or simply to point out
any errors you may notice (eg. typos, missing asterisks, verses
incorrectly numbered, etc.).
