Blessed are those that are undefiled in the way, * and walk in the law of the Lord.

4  Thou hast charged * that we shall diligently keep thy commandments.
5  O that my ways were made so direct, * that I might keep thy statutes!

O Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day : defend us in the same with thy mighty power ; and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger ; but that all our doings may be ordered by thy governance, to do always that is righteous in thy sight.  Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord.  Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.

The Brief Lesson       Col. 3. 1.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth.  But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.
