On days in the Octave and on the
Octave Day, the Psalms with their Antiphons are said at all the Hours, and
at Matins the Nocturn verses also, from the occurrent week day, as in the
Psalter: the I Nocturn Lessons are read from the occurrent Scripture, with
their Responds of the Season; the II and III Nocturn Lessons are those
assigned as proper to each day; but NOTE, That the Reponds to the II and
III Nocturn Lessons are said from the Common of Apostles, as in all the
rest of the Office, except what is designated below as proper. |
