Ant.    Dóminus regnávit, * † exsúltet terra. ††

Ant.    The Lord hath reigned, * † may the earth may be glad thereof. ††

Psalmus 96.  Dominus regnavit

Dóminus regnávit † exsúltet terra: * †† læténtur ínsulæ multæ.
2  Nubes, et calígo in circúitu ejus: * justítia, et judícium corréctio sedis ejus.
3  Ignis ante ipsum præcédet: * et inflammábit in circúitu inimícos ejus.
4  Illuxérunt fúlgura ejus orbi terræ: * vidit et commóta est terra.
5  Montes, sicut cera fluxérunt a fácie Dómini: * a fácie Dómini omnis terra.
6  Annuntiavérunt cæli justítiam ejus: * et vidérunt omnes pópuli glóriam ejus.
7  Confundántur omnes, qui adórant sculptília: * et qui gloriántur in simulácris suis.
8  Adoráte eum, omnes Angeli ejus: * audívit, et lætáta est Sion.
9  Et exsultavérunt fíliæ Judæ: * propter judícia tua, Dómine:
10  Quóniam tu Dóminus Altíssimus super omnem terram: * nimis exaltátus es super omnes deos.
11  Qui dilígitis Dóminum, odíte malum: * custódit Dóminus ánimas sanctórum suórum, de manu peccatóris liberábit eos.
12  Lux orta est justo, * et rectis corde lætítia.
13  Lætámini, justi in Dómino: * et confitémini memóriæ sanctificatiónis ejus.

The Lord hath reigned, † may the earth be glad thereof; * †† yea, the multitude of the isles shall be joyful.
2  Clouds and darkness are round about him: * righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his seat.
3  There shall go a fire before him, * and burn up his enemies on every side.
4  His lightnings gave shine unto the world: * the earth saw it, and trembled.
5  The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord; * the whole earth at the presence of the Lord.
6  The heavens have declared his righteousness, * and all the peoples have seen his glory.
7  Confounded be all they that worship carved images, * and that delight in their vain gods.
8  Worship him, all ye his Angels : * Sion heard of it, and rejoiced.
9  And the daughters of Judah were glad, * because of thy judgments, O Lord.
10  For thou art the most high Lord over all the earth: * thou art exalted far above all gods.
11  O ye that love the Lord, hate evil: * the Lord preserveth the souls of his saints; he shall deliver them from the hand of the ungodly.
12  There is sprung up a light for the righteous, * and joy for such as are true-hearted.
13  Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; * and give thanks for a remembrance of his holiness.

Psalmus 64.  Te decet hymnus

Te decet hymnus, † Deus, in Sion: * †† et tibi reddétur votum in Jerúsalem.
2  Exáudi oratiónem meam: * ad te omnis caro véniet.
3  Verba iniquórum prævaluérunt super nos: * et impietátibus nostris tu propitiáberis.
4  Beátus quem elegísti et assumpsísti: * inhabitábit in átriis tuis.
5  Replébimur in bonis domus tuæ, sanctum est templum tuum: *  mirábile in æquitáte.
6  Exáudi nos, Deus salutáris noster: * spes ómnium fínium terræ et in mari longe.

Psalm 64.  Te decet hymnus

Thou art worthy to be praised, † O God, in Sion; * †† and a vow shall be paid thee in Jerusalem.
2  O hear thou my prayer, * unto thee shall all flesh come.
3  The words of the wicked have prevailed against us : * and thou shalt pardon our transgressions.
4  Blessed is the man whom thou hast chosen and taken unto thee: * in thy courts shall he dwell.
5   We shall be filled with the good things of thy house, holy is thy temple : * wonderful in thy righteousness.
6  Hear us, O God of our salvation; * thou that art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and in the broad sea.
7  Who by thy strength settest fast the mountains, and art girded about with power: * who makest the deep sea to rage, and the noise of its waves.
8  The heathen shall be thrown into confusion, and they also that dwell in the uttermost parts of the earth shall be afraid at thy signs, * thou shalt make the out-goings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9  Thou hast visited the earth, and made it plentiful; * thou hast many ways enriched it.
10  The river of God is full of water: * thou hast prepared their food, for so is thy providence.
11  Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, increase its fruits : * it shall spring forth and rejoice in its drops of rain.
12  Thou shalt bless the crown of the year with thy goodness; * and thy fields shall be filled with plenty.
13  The beauty of the wilderness shall grow fat : * and the hills shall be girded about with joy.
14  The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales also shall abound with corn, * they shall call out, yea, they shall sing praises.

Ant.    Tibi, Dómine, psallam, * et intélligam in via immaculáta.

Psalmus 100.  Misericordiam et judicium

Misericórdiam, et judícium * cantábo tibi, Dómine:
2  Psallam, et intélligam in via immaculáta, * quando vénies ad me.
3  Perambulábam in innocéntia cordis mei: * in médio domus meæ.
4  Non proponébam ante óculos meos rem injústam: * faciéntes prævaricatiónes odívi.
5  Non adhæsit mihi cor pravum: * declinántem a me malígnum non cognoscébam.
6  Detrahéntem secréto próximo suo, * hunc persequébar.
7  Supérbo óculo, et insatiábili corde, * cum hoc non edébam.
8  Oculi mei ad fidéles terræ ut sédeant mecum: * ámbulans in via immaculáta, hic mihi ministrábat.
9  Non habitábit in médio domus meæ, qui facit supérbiam: * qui lóquitur iníqua, non diréxit in conspéctu oculórum meórum.
10  In matutíno interficiébam omnes peccatóres terræ: * ut dispérderem de civitáte Dómini omnes operántes iniquitátem.

Psalm 100.  Misericordiam et judicium

Mercy and judgment; * I will sing unto thee, O Lord.
2  I will sing praises, and will have understanding in the way without blemish : * when thou shall come unto me.
3  I will walk in the innocency of my heart : * in the midst of my house.
4  I did not set before mine eyes any unjust thing : * I have hated the workers of iniquity.
5  The perverse heart did not cleave unto me : * and the malignant that turned aside from me, I would not know.
6  Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, * on him have I taken vengeance.
7  And with him that hath a haughty look and an insatiable heart, * with him I would not eat.
8  Mine eyes look upon such as are faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me: * the man that walked in the way without blemish, he was my servant.
9  He that worketh pride shall not dwell in the midst of my house; * he that speaketh wicked things did not prosper in my sight.
10  In the morning I put to death all the ungodly of the land; * that I might cut off all the wicked doers from the city of the Lord.

3  Tibi sérviat omnis creatúra tua: * quia dixísti, et facta sunt :
4  Misísti spíritum tuum, et creáta sunt: * et non est qui resístat voci tuæ.
5  Montes a fundaméntis movebúntur cum aquis: * petræ, sicut cera, liquéscent ante fáciem tuam.

Let us sing a hymn to the Lord; * let us sing a new hymn to our God.
2  O Adonái, Lord, great art thou, and glorious in thy power, * whom no one can overcome.
3  Let all thy creatures serve thee, * for thou spakest, and they were made ;
4  Thou didst send forth thy Spirit and they were created; * and there is none that can resist thy voice.
5  The mountains shall be moved from their foundations with the waters, * the rocks shall melt as wax at thy presence.
6  But they that fear thee, * shall be great with thee in all things.
7  Woe to the nations that rise up against my people : for the Lord Almighty will take vengeance on them, * in the day of judgment he will visit them.

Psalmus 145.  Lauda, anima mea

Lauda, ánima mea, Dóminum, laudábo Dóminum in vita mea: * psallam Deo meo quámdiu fúero.
2  Nolíte confídere in princípibus: * in fíliis hóminum, in quibus non est salus.
3  Exíbit spíritus ejus, et revertétur in terram suam: * in illa die períbunt omnes cogitatiónes eórum.
4  Beátus, cujus Deus Jacob adjútor ejus, spes ejus in Dómino Deo ipsíus: * qui fecit cælum et terram, mare et ómnia, quæ in eis sunt.
5  Qui custódit veritátem in sæculum, facit judícium injúriam patiéntibus: * dat escam esuriéntibus.

Psalm 145.  Lauda, anima mea

Praise the Lord, O my soul: while I live, will I praise the Lord; * yea, as long as I have any being, I will sing praises unto my God.
2  O put not your trust in princes, * nor in the children of men, in whom is no salvation.
3  His spirit shall go forth, and he shall turn again to his earth, * in that day shall perish all their thoughts.
4  Blessed is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, and whose hope is in the Lord his God: * who hath made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that therein is.
5  Who keepeth truth for ever, who executeth judgment unto them that suffer wrong; * who feedeth the hungry.
6  The Lord looseth them that are in fetters; * the Lord giveth light to the blind.
7  The Lord lifteth up them that are cast down; * the Lord loveth the righteous.
8  The Lord keepeth the strangers; he shall defend the fatherless and widow: * and destroy the ways of the ungodly.
9  The Lord shall reign for evermore, thy God, O Sion, * throughout all generations.
